We had a wonderful trip to the museum at RAF Hendon where we learnt more about the aircraft involved in the second world war and what life was like as a child during the war.
Arielle: I have enjoyed History so far because we have been learning about WWII and all of the dramatic battles.
Annabelle: I have enjoyed History because I love learning about WWII and I wanted to know all the different kinds of planes there were.
We were also very lucky to have a special visitor come into school to tell us about her experiences as a child during WWII – it was Sophia’s Nanny! She brought in a real ARP warden’s helmet and a ration book for us to look at.
Ronan: I liked the way that the visitor told us what happened when she was younger in the war.
