Phased re-opening of Harlington Lower School

Following on from recent Government updates, you will be aware that at the earliest, from June 1st, primary pupils may return in stages starting with Nursery, Reception, Year One and Year Six pupils. The Prime Minister’s statement was heavily caveated and conditional.

The Department for Education published actions for education and childcare settings to prepare for wider opening from 1st June 2020. Myself and our Senior leaders are in the process of examining this information and comparing it to action planning already made to ensure that any agreed wider-opening is as safe as we can make it for children and staff. A related guidance document for parents and carers can be viewed from: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers/closure-of-educational-settings-information-for-parents-and-carers

If you have a child in Reception and/or Year 1 could you please complete this online survey by 6pm on Friday 15th May. Please complete one survey per child.

What year group is your child in?*
If the government allow a wider opening of our school from the 1st June, would you allow your Nursery, Reception or Year One child to attend?*
If you return and the Academy were able to offer a school lunch, would you accept this?*
